37.106.2160 LABORATORY SERVICES (1) If a facility chooses to provide laboratory services, the laboratory must meet the requirements specified in 42 CFR part 493. (2) If the laboratory chooses to refer specimens for testing to another laboratory, the referral laboratory must be certified in the appropriate specialties and subspecialities of service in accordance with the requirements of 42 CFR part 493.
