37.30.2530    TRAINING OF BLIND VENDORS

(1) The department will provide vocational and other training services to assist the individual in preparing for the operation of a vending facility, including personal and vocational adjustment, books, tools, and other training materials. These services shall be provided to blind individuals as vocational rehabilitation services under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (P.L. 93-112) , as amended by the Rehabilitation Act Amendments of 1978 (P.L. 95-602) . Such programs will also include on-the-job training in all aspects of vending facility operation and upward mobility training (including further education and additional training or retraining for improved work opportunities) for all certified blind persons.
