8.111.512    TANF LOAN ELIGIBILITY

(1) To be eligible for a TANF loan, an applicant must be a caretaker relative whose household is 200% of the federal poverty guidelines or less.

(2) An applicant for a TANF loan from a TANF allocation - home ownership must successfully complete instruction on the responsibilities of home ownership to the satisfaction of the housing assistance organization through which the applicant is making application for a TANF loan.

(3) An applicant for a TANF loan from a TANF allocation - home ownership or for a TANF loan for mortgage payment assistance to be funded from a TANF allocation - emergency housing assistance must agree to participate in post purchase counseling provided by the housing assistance organization.
