44.10.337    AGGREGATE CONTRIBUTION LIMITS FOR WRITE-IN CANDIDATES

(1) For purposes of the limitations on contributions established in 13-37-216, MCA, and these rules, the term "election" is defined in 13-37-216, MCA, and the term "candidate" is defined in 13-1-101, MCA.   Pursuant to 13-10-211, MCA, a write-in candidate must file a declaration of intent.   A candidate who is unsuccessful in a contested primary election, but who complies with applicable statutes to qualify as a write-in candidate for the general election, is subject to the aggregate contribution limits for both the primary election and the general election.
