24.159.1424    CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

(1) All Montana licensed APRNs must complete 40 contact hours of continuing education during each two-year license renewal period. The APRN who practices in a specialty setting must complete the majority of the required contact hours in the area of the individual's specialized certification.

(2) The board may prorate the requirement for continuing education contact hours upon the written request of an APRN who practices in Montana for a period of less than two years.
