37.90.416    HOME AND COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES FOR ADULTS WITH SEVERE DISABLING MENTAL ILLNESS: PAIN AND SYMPTOM MANAGEMENT REQUIREMENTS

(1) Pain and symptom management is defined as a service that allows the provision of traditional and nontraditional methods of pain reduction and/or management.

(2) Treatments are limited to:

(a) acupuncture;

(b) reflexology;

(c) massage therapy;

(d) craniosacral therapy;

(e) mind-body therapies such as hypnosis and biofeedback;

(f) pain mitigation counseling/coaching;

(g) chiropractic therapy; and

(h) nursing services by a nurse specializing in pain and symptom management.
