24.5.309    INTERVENTION

(1) A party may intervene in a pending proceeding as set forth in M. R. Civ. P. 24(a) and (b).

(2) If the court vacates the trial because of a party's intervention and the petitioner demonstrates good cause, the court may order the insurance company alleged to be at risk at the time of the accident to pay benefits pending the trial. This insurer may seek indemnity from the responsible insurer if the court later determines that it is not liable.
