NOTICE OF AMENDMENT

TO: All Concerned Persons

1. On September 19, 2013, the Department of Public Health and Human Services published MAR Notice No. 37-649 pertaining to the public hearing on the proposed amendment of the above-stated rule at page 1677 of the 2013 Montana Administrative Register, Issue Number 18.

2. The department has amended the above-stated rule as proposed.

3. The department has thoroughly considered the comments and testimony received. A summary of the comments received and the department's responses are as follows:

COMMENT #1: A few commenters stated that while they support the concept of parental participation in the treatment of the youth, they do not agree with the sliding fee scale as proposed by the department. They stated that the percentage of payment from families for the room and board costs is too high for most of the FPL categories.

RESPONSE #1: The department disagrees with the commenters and believes the proposed sliding fee schedule is reasonable.
