24.117.1007    CLUB BOXING--REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

(1) Club boxing contestants shall use either training wraps or handwraps that comply with the provisions of ARM 24.117.810.

(2) Official boxing gloves used by contestants shall be as follows:

(a) contestants weighing up to 150 pounds shall use no less than 14 ounce gloves with the thumbs attached; and

(b) contestants weighing 151 pounds and above shall use no less than 16 ounce gloves with the thumbs attached.

(3) If two contestants in a bout use different glove weights, both contestants shall use the glove required for the heavier contestant.

(4) No breaking, roughing, or twisting of gloves shall be permitted. The inspector shall examine and approve all gloves. If padding is found to be misplaced or lumpy, or if gloves are found to be imperfect, other gloves shall be substituted.

(5) All contestants shall use protective headgear.
