24.9.230    CERTIFICATION OF A CASE FOR HEARING

(1) Whenever the department has issued a finding of reasonable cause and conciliation efforts have been unsuccessful, the department shall certify the case for hearing. In any other case, if the department determines that a hearing on a complaint is necessary as a matter of fundamental fairness, or in the public interest, the department may certify the case for hearing.
