37.114.566    POLIOMYELITIS

(1) For a case of poliomyelitis, infection control precautions must be imposed for seven days from the onset of illness, or for the duration of fever, if longer.

(2) The local health officer must initiate surveillance for susceptible contacts and recommend immunization to them immediately.
