37.79.302    COVERAGE LIMITATIONS

(1) The lifetime maximum benefit coverage is one million dollars per enrollee.

(2) Pre-existing conditions of each enrollee are covered as of the effective date of enrollment if the condition would be otherwise covered.

(3) Covered benefits shall be provided to an enrollee who is receiving inpatient hospital benefits up to and including the 11th day after the effective date of losing CHIP benefits.

(4) A newborn of a CHIP enrollee shall have all medically necessary benefits covered by the CHIP program for 31 days after the newborn's date of live birth. Coverage for the newborn shall begin the day of live birth, without regard to whether the newborn is hospitalized on the date of coverage.
