24.159.1413    ADVANCED PRACTICE NURSING TITLE

(1) Only a licensed RN holding a current Montana APRN license has the right to use the title of APRN and the appropriate title of the specialties of nurse practitioner (NP), certified nurse midwife (CNM), certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA), or clinical nurse specialist (CNS).

(2) An APRN licensed in Montana may only practice in the specialized clinical area in which the APRN has current national certification.
