(1) A fourth grade student at the proficient level in information literacy/library media demonstrates solid academic performance. He/she:

(a) summarizes and restates the task or problem to be solved;

(b) brainstorms several search terms to guide problem solving;

(c) narrows or broadens a topic;

(d) identifies possible resources; and

(e) selects an appropriate resource to meet information needs.
