18.6.262    SIGN STRUCTURES THAT ARE BLANK, ABANDONED, DILAPIDATED, DISCONTINUED, OR IN DISREPAIR

(1) When the department determines a sign structure has been blank, abandoned, dilapidated, discontinued, or in disrepair for a period of 60 days, the department shall notify the sign owner of the violation and require remedial action within six months. If such action is not taken, the permit will be revoked and action for the removal of the sign will be taken as provided in 75-15-131, MCA.

(2) A sign is in disrepair if the structure is unsafe or if the sign face is not visible to the traveling public.
