24.207.503    EXPERIENCE - NUMBER OF HOURS REQUIRED

(1) An applicant for licensure as a licensed real estate appraiser must present evidence of 2000 hours of appraisal experience obtained over a period of not less than 18 months.

(2) An applicant for certification as a certified residential real estate appraiser must present evidence of 2500 hours of appraisal experience obtained over a period of not less than 24 months. Hours may be treated as cumulative in order to achieve the necessary 2500 hours of appraisal experience.

(3) Applicants for certification as a certified general real estate appraiser must present evidence of 3000 hours of appraisal experience, obtained over a period of not less than 30 months. Hours may be treated as cumulative in order to achieve the necessary 3000 hours of appraisal experience. The applicant must have accumulated a total of 3000 hours of appraisal experience of which at least 1500 hours must be in nonresidential appraisal experience.
