(1) It is the purpose of this board, acting under the provisions of the act creating it, to regulate the licensing of applicants and the conduct and practice of licensees to safeguard the public interest in transactions in which licensees act and to require the existence and continued maintenance of high levels of knowledge, competency, accountability, ethics, and professionalism by all licensees doing business in the state of Montana.
