10.54.7094    NOVICE HEALTH ENHANCEMENT PERFORMANCE STANDARDS FOR END OF GRADE 8

(1) An eighth-grade student at the novice level in health enhancement is beginning to attain the prerequisite knowledge and skills that are fundamental at each benchmark in health enhancement. He/she:

(a) participates in appropriate skill related fitness activities and identifies the contributions to overall well-being;

(b) works toward health-related physical fitness;

(c) identifies and describes healthy behaviors and disease prevention concepts;

(d) often demonstrates understanding of health information; and

(e) sometimes demonstrates appropriate interpersonal social skills.
