For the purposes of this subchapter, the following definitions apply, in addition to those in 50-53-102 , MCA:

(1) "Dropoff" means the physical condition where the bottom slope of a designated swim area exceeds 1 foot of vertical drop over a distance of 3 horizontal feet.

(2) "Health department" means the department of public health and human services or the local or county health department having jurisdiction over the area in which the public bathing place is located.
