10.57.110    AREA OF PERMISSIVE SPECIALIZED COMPETENCY

(1)A holder of a Montana teaching license may apply for a statement of specialized competency to appear on the license. A license holder may qualify for a statement of specialized competency by the completion of a minimum of 20 semester college credit hours or equivalency in a specific academic area as approved by the board of public education. Accredited areas of permissive specialized competency are early childhood education and gifted and talented education.
